FinCrime Assurance Lead

We’re looking for a FinCrime Assurance Lead to own the Quality Assurance framework and strategy for our Financial Crime team, providing oversight and governance of the framework and driving continuous improvements through actionable insights from QA 

This role can be based in our London or Cardiff office, or remotely with fairly regular travel to our offices.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Owning and driving the QA plan in Financial Crime, to deliver consistent, compliant and outcome focussed QA controls, and provide assurance against Key Risk Indicators
  • Using QA insights to identify actionable insights and drive improvements of processes, procedures and knowledge management in conjunction with product teams
  • Building and maintaining a robust customer centric feedback loop with process owners and managers
  • Providing review and sign off for learning and development changes introduced as a result of QA findings
  • Designing and agreeing an ongoing roadmap of initiatives within Financial Crime  to support delivery of fair customer outcomes, customer delight and compliance with regulation and working effectively with key stakeholders to deliver changes required
  • Representing FinCrime at monthly Quality Assurance Steer Co where relevant metrics will be reviewed and plans created in partnership with stakeholders.
  • As required, attending Risk and Executive Committees to update on performance against Quality metrics and initiatives in place to drive improvements

You should apply if you:

  • Have a strong background in Financial Crime, with a sound knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Have experience within a regulated sector either in a risk and/or QA related role.
  • Are able to identify risks and prevent, manage and/or escalate as appropriate
  • Are able to use insights from data to identify corrective actions and drive improvements

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Comfortable with data and preferably has basic SQL, G Suite API knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing FCA principles & Treating Customers Fairly
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, and ability to challenge others, as well as having exposure to senior management
