As we continue to experience impressive growth, we are
seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our finance team.
Position Overview: The Director of FP&A will play a crucial role in driving strategic decision-making by providing actionable insights, analysis, and reporting related to the company's financial performance and operations.
This position reports directly to the CFO and involves managing a team of 5 dedicated finance professionals. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of software business models, possess strong financial acumen, and have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support the growth and success of Delphix Corp.
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
-Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5 finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing
culture.
-Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
2. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Drive the development and execution of financial models and analyses to support business decisions, with a focus on
annual recurring revenue (ARR), spending, and budgeting.
-Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, offering insights into key
financial and operational metrics.
-Collaborate with department heads to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations for
optimizing resource allocation and performance.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
-Oversee the annual and rolling 4-quarter budgeting process, working closely with department leaders to ensure alignment
with strategic objectives.
-Develop accurate and reliable financial forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities to guide proactive decision-
making.
4. Business Partnership:
-Partner with various teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product, to analyze performance, and assess the financial
impact of initiatives.
-Provide financial insights to support the evaluation of new business opportunities, pricing strategies, and investment
decisions.
5. Performance Metrics and KPIs:
-Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the company's financial and operational
performance.
-Identify trends and areas for improvement, communicate findings to stakeholders and suggest actionable
recommendations.
6. Strategic Planning:
-Contribute to the development and refinement of the company's long-term strategic plans, offering financial
insights and scenarios for growth.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
-Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, focusing on software or
technology industries.
-Proven experience in managing and leading finance teams.
-Strong understanding of SaaS business models and related metrics, including ARR, churn, customer acquisition cost, and
customer lifetime value.
-Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (Excel, Tableau, etc.).
-Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance
stakeholders.
-Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges and recommend effective solutions.
-Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
