We’re looking for freelance writers to contribute DIY articles on a weekly basis.
A typical day as a Freelance Lifestyle Writer might include:
- Working on 3-5 pieces of DIY content per week
- Collaborating with managing editors, experts, and auditors to meet deadlines
- Create content geared toward Art & Crafts, DIY, Garden and home
- Formulate content following editorial guidelines
- Understand and identify new trends in the DIY space
- Work with the Managing Editor to create editorial and topic-specific content
- Participate in site cleanup by contributing to article update processes
- Serve as the first pair of eyes for Editors
- Have a strong knowledge of AP guidelines
What You Have:
- 5 years editorial writing experience in the DIY space (crafts, garden, home)
- Extensive AP Style knowledge
- Proven writing proficiency and extensive AP Style experience
- A portfolio of published articles about related topics
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- An eye for spotting upcoming trends in the DIY realm
- A passion for creating and producing DIY content
