Front-End Engineer

Omada Health is on a mission to inspire and enable people everywhere to live free of chronic disease. To assist us in achieving our mission, we’re looking for a skilled front-end engineer to join our product engineering team.

In this role, you will work closely with our design team to create and customize web experiences for our customers.  We are constantly creating new interactive content, and you’ll play a key role in delivering and maintaining these features. Additionally, you will play a crucial part in setting product direction alongside the product and design teams.

Our core web product is built in Ruby-on-Rails, backed by PostgreSQL, with a thick React/Redux layer on the front end. We also have significant web properties in Statamic and HubSpot. We'd love to see experience with these technologies, but we don't require it. We value test-driven development and constant collaboration, and our team practices pair programming full-time (this means that you’ll have the opportunity to learn new techniques and technologies from others, as well as share your own skills).

You will be successful in this job if you have:

  • Significant experience with Javascript and its ecosystem (NPM, React, Flux/Redux, Gulp, Webpack)
  • Significant experience with HTML and CSS (Semantics, Accessibility, SCSS, BEM)
  • Experience testing javascript applications (TDD, JS software factory …)
  • Experience with server-side frameworks (Ruby on Rails is a plus)
  • Experience working closely and iteratively with designers
  • A data-driven attitude
