The Role:

Talix’s engineering team is helping change the way healthcare works. You’ll work alongside other top developers to extend and enhance our core technologies as well as conceive, build, and launch new applications that leverage them. As a founding member of the UI team, you’ll help drive the future of the stack and product, with plenty of room to introduce new frameworks, tools, etc.

The ideal candidate is a Swiss army knife engineer, not afraid to work up and down the stack from shell scripts, database schema design, writing efficient SQL queries, crafting elegant Java / JavaScript code, to tweaking CSS.  Most importantly, you are a fast learner with a passion designing and developing web applications.

You will:

  • Leverage your superb design sense to imagine and build responsive, consumer facing UI & UX for our 2 customer groups -  Healthcare Providers and Insurance Payers
  • Elegantly implement backend APIs and front end components that consume them, focusing on security, scalability, testability, maintainability and performance.
  • Contribute to architecture, tools, standards and best practices for the engineering organization.
  • Work closely with product managers to understand business and technical requirements.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 3 - 5 years of professional web application development experience.
  • 2+ years of cutting-edge JavaScript framework experience, preferred AngularJS.
  • Strong understanding of single page application architecture and best practices in AJAX web applications.
  • SQL and RDBMS knowledge (preferably with Oracle)
  • Excellent project management skills: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly kinetic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills: able to facilitate your own meetings as necessary, comfortable working with all levels of the organization.

Bonus points for:

  • Knowledgeable with Gulp, Node, D3
  • Experience developing REST APIs with Spring framework
  • Experience with testing best practices and methodologies, particularly for testing Javascript
