Within Ocado Group sits Platform Implementation, whose mission is ‘to orchestrate the implementation of Ocado’s platforms globally’ This department focuses on the full program management life cycle of the implementation of our highly automated, multi-million pound Customer Fulfilment Centers (CFCs) - from pre-deal, through to the design, construction, installation, testing and ‘go-live’ phases(with all the process and portfolio management in between). 

This department is instrumental in ensuring we deliver these CFCs on time, to budget, and to the specific requirements of each client.

The Functional Tester sits within the Client Readiness team, and is responsible for the planning, preparation, management and execution of Business Acceptance Testing and front line go-live support on future CFCs.

This role is a 6 month contract position that will require extensive travel to sites across the US, supporting existing as well as new client contracts.

Essential Functions:

  • Carrying out functional Testing of warehouse systems and technology
  • Interfacing with Graphical User Interface Touch screens
  • Navigating/surfing reporting pages within a complex warehouse management system
  • Collecting and recording test data via laptop
  • Scanning and moving products and assets within a complex warehouse
  • Communicating/meeting with onsite support teams in order to resolve issues
  • Carrying out specific instructions as directed remotely via Augmented reality headset
  • Creation of barcodes and paperwork via MS Office suite (Excel)
  • Writing daily progress reports
  • Capturing and reporting specific defect details and providing screenshots/photos
  • Liaising with commissioning teams to determine readiness of equipment
  • This role may require some lifting, climbing and crawling in a warehouse environment

  • Ability to work well on your own as well as part of a team

  • Be able to work in challenging environments such as Construction areas, Chilled & Frozen environments
  • Ability to lift up to lift up to 50lbs 


This position will be based at our Fulfillment Center in Groveland, FL with up to 80% travel. This is a 6 Month Contract position.
