Why this role is exciting: 

Exciting opportunity for a qualified CA(SA) to join our agile finance team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for assisting with complex accounting areas including revenue recognition, Global Clearing House, financial instruments and commissions accounting where you will play a key-role in the technical accounting, month-end close and reporting process. 

This role is perfect for a qualified CA(SA) with a few years’ post-articles experience or someone straight out of articles who is looking to expand their exposure to commercial finances and operations of a dynamic global SaaS company.



  • Revenue recognition assessment in line with US GAAP ASC606
  • Assist with Global Clearing House accounting including reconciliation of large volumes of inter-company transactions in numerous currencies and complex accounting adjustments.
  • Capitalizable software accounting
  • Financial instruments accounting
  • Other ad-hoc project work as they arise
  • Resolving audit matters
  • Perform monthly closes, financial statement preparation, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Design and implement effective financial controls including systems reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of reported figures
  • Work closely with other business units and cross functional teams to implement new initiatives and projects


Does this sound like you?

  • Qualified CA(SA) with Big Four audit firm experience (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong technical ability and operational finance experience across a variety of industries
  • Willing to work as part of an international team across multiple time zones and regions
  • A positive can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new processes and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team with minimal supervision required
  • Demonstrated level of maturity and confidentiality awareness
  • Demonstrated level of flexibility and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities to completion
  • Work with cross functional operations teams
  • US GAAP experience (advantageous)
