Graduate Accountant- Hybrid Role

This is an entry level position for a recent graduate to join a supportive and collaborative team based in Botany.  This position will provide experience across several business models and geographies within the harbour-towage sector of the maritime industry. You will be required to provide support and annual leave cover to the current finance team. This is a full-time position with working from home flexibility available.  

This is a supporting role where you will gain valuable real life experience, exposure and insight into the following areas:

• Execute the financial administration (GL) for one or more assigned contracts/entities
• Prepare monthly balance sheets
• Run the monthly closing process, including inter-company reconciliations
• Prepare and submit monthly financial reports (P&L , Balance Sheet, movement schedules) and management reports (analysis)
• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• Monitor and control the account SSC activities
• Monitor and control the right valuation and depreciation of assigned fixed assets
• Prepare and submit tax-filings in compliance with local legislation 
• Prepare annual financial statements
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Monitor and ensure a proper filing of relevant documents
• Participate in Finance projects and contribute to the development and optimization of financial processes

• Intermediate Excel skills are ideal along with proficient use of other Microsoft Office programs, such as word and outlook
• The ability to meet set deadlines and prioritize activities where required.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Organised, punctual, with an attention to detail
• Familiar with a fast-paced work environment
• Degree qualified and studying towards qualifications such as CPA is preferred.

Must have drivers license as public transport is not an option.
