The Graphics Designer at Connected Analytics is responsible for designing and maintaining the graphics aspect of our company's brand across all platforms, shape product features and campaigns around user needs, and produce user interfaces that are appealing and clear with a focus on driving sales.
Responsibilities will include
- Collaborate with internal teams to define user interface requirements, preferences, and expectations.
- Use graphics design software to refine illustrations.
- Design original graphics with unique colours, shapes, and typography fonts.
- Refine the output of paint and hand-draw applications by using visual design software.
- Design business logos and other digital media used to promote products or services.
- Work with other departments to create a seamless experience for customers.
- Work collaboratively with other designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest standards, changes, and trends in the visual design field.
- Apply sketching techniques, like gradients and contrasts to enhance digital images.
- Meet with the project team for feedback and editing designs, when required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Good to have (qualifications/skills)
- Background in graphic design, visual arts or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a graphics/visual designer
- Advanced proficiency in graphics design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite's InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Expert-level skills in Photoshop, InvisionApp, UXPin, and other relevant design tools.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS; JavaScript is an added advantage
- Time management, critical thinking and problem solving skills
Preferred skills/qualifications
- Ability to meet deadlines while working on team projects
- Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colours, fonts, and layouts
- Familiarity with web design and publishing
