Based in the UK, INSTANDA is an insurance software provider challenging the status quo. We have built an exciting software tool which fundamentally changes how companies who sell insurance can design and deliver insurance products to the market. We work directly with Insurers, Managing General Agents (MGA’s), and Brokers. Using leading-edge technologies, INSTANDA insurance software is entirely configurable from the ground up. It is not a one-size-fits-all model. We allow companies to use insurance software in the way they want to. Founded in 2012, we spent several years designing and building the platform which is now being used globally by some of the world’s largest insurance companies. Amongst our many achievements, we were recently chosen by Microsoft UK as a disruptive technology that their ventures program sponsored. With just 20 employees in the company in January 2017, INSTANDA now has over 100 employees based in the UK (London, Histon, and Huntingdon), in the US, and Canada. Based in London, and reporting to our COO & Co-founder, we are seeking an intuitive and client focused Head of Accounts - UK to join the team. You will be managing a team of 3 (Account Delivery Manager, Account Manager & Analyst), but we expect this to grow as we onboard more clients onto our platform. This is an extremely customer centric role focusing on managing relationships within an enterprise portfolio & managing accounts strategy for the organization. You will have accountability for the success of engagements, focusing on key stakeholder management, overall client satisfaction, strategy alignment, and successful delivery for INSTANDA to meet agreed timelines and budgets. You will engage at all levels maintaining a hands-on understanding of their needs and should foster the reputation of a trusted client partner.

No prior experience of the INSTANDA platform is required but exposure to the insurance industry is a requirement. We are looking for someone who has effective communication skills, is intuitive in understanding client requirements, and who can come up with creative solutions if/when needed.

Our clients face technology and resource constraints which mean that new insurance products and/or offerings could take a very long time to launch and be very costly. With INSTANDA however, insurers can build their products, set their distribution networks, test and launch their products in unprecedented timescales – all without writing a single line of code. The person in this role will ensure our customers can successfully and easily do all these things and more!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Align with the SMT and Leadership Team on the strategy, objectives, and key results of for the Accounts Function
  • Manage the Accounts function and team (this includes mentoring the team, having weekly meetings, managing performance, and admin)
  • Serve as the engagement architect, responsible for account strategies, and work directly with client product, marketing, and/or IT teams to position the engagement and gear up for success
  • Drive account revenue within the client/account portfolio as well as accelerate opportunities to influence & increase revenue opportunity
  • Shape solutions and pricing, establish optimal operating models and project team organization, and leading the transition from the sales process to the delivery phase
  • Partner with our service delivery and engineering teams to support and configure the design of the product for the client
  • Serve as the trusted advisor; partner with clients to help craft the product vision and roadmaps and create compelling customer value propositions and strategies that is enabled through our global deliver model
  • Support sales/pre-sales activities by acting as the lead to assess opportunities, respond to RFP’s, create proposals and presentations, establish relationships with clients and prospective clients, and help to close/sign new deals
  • This role will require travel to client sites in London and surrounding area with occasional travel to other parts of the UK and overseas


  • A degree in business, technology or any related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience with client focus
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience within the Insurance Industry
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience working for a high growth and/or tech company
  • Effective communication at all levels
  • Methodical and logical way of delivering messages to stakeholders (internally and externally)
  • Strong grasp and proven experience in Agile methodologies and delivery
  • Previous successful experience as a product owner driving end to end delivery from inception to live
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with the client as well as our own delivery teams
