Head of Ad Operations / Head of Demand

SuperAwesome (@GoSuperAwesome) is the largest kids digital media platform in the world, reaching over a quarter of a billion kids each month across mobile, web and online video. SuperAwesome’s technology and products power kid-safe advertising, parent-portals and COPPA compliance for hundreds of brands and agencies around the world. Clients includes Lego, Warner Bros, Hasbro, Spin Master, Nintendo and many others.

The Role

SuperAwesome is looking for an outstanding candidate to completely oversee the buy and sell process in this new Kids’ Marketplace; to build and manage our ad operations team in the UK, US and Asia; to innovate ways of building market liquidity and yield; and to take the lead in shaping how the Programmatic Kids industry will work in practice.

The ideal candidate will have significant ad ops and programmatic campaign management experience. An excellent communicator, capable of managing high profile clients and publishers effectively, driving the operational, strategic and commercial success for programmatic at SuperAwesome.

  • Hands-on experience of managing (including trafficking and optimising) online/mobile campaigns with a range of different programmatic platforms and demand sources
  • A track record of successfully troubleshooting PMP issues for both pre-production and live campaigns, and managing daily yields for a large scale publisher or marketplace
  • Digital/mobile experience in a trading desk / network / publisher / exchange
  • Deep understanding of digital media technologies and the programmatic market, with established relationships with large SSP/DSP/Exchange partners
  • A sufficiently technical background, so that you can work closely with our software development team, providing market feedback and input into the product roadmap, including iterating and upgrading publisher dashboards and mobile SDK, and advertiser DSP functionality
  • Analytical experience, deep understanding of the digital/mobile data landscape
  • The ability to think logically, even under pressure, and come up with innovative solutions to problems
  • The desire to teach, mentor and manage others - sharing programmatic and ad ops expertise
  • Real understanding/experience of building an excellence driven team
  • A fire-starter, you can clearly demonstrate your abilities to get things done without direct supervision and understand what it means to deliver excellence to stakeholders
  • Capable of taking on brand new projects, creating project plans, managing other team members and making stuff happen!
  • Relish getting your hands dirty with the operational detail; you love fixing things, debugging, finding root causes and automating the solution
  • Insanely well-organised with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
