Summary of Job:

Kyowa Kirin, North America is actively seeking a transformative leader to lead our Commercial Analytics Team. This highly visible leadership role will be the driving force behind the vision, strategy, and development of a premier data and advanced analytics organization, with a clear emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) strategic vision. This role will report to Sr. Director of Business Insights and Analytics and will serve as a cross-functional point of contact to develop and operationalize secondary analytics and insights initiatives across the entire organization in close collaboration with Marketing, Field Teams, Market Access, IT, Operations, Compliance, and Legal. This role will provide innovation and expertise in the development and implementation of advanced data capabilities, leading to the creation of data-driven advanced analytics to provide holistic solutions to drive business performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Set an ambitious and clear vision for the organization’s data strategy. Communicate the value and meaningful impact of data and analytics effectively to key stakeholders and the rest of the organization.
  • Strong people leader capable of inspiring and motivating a diverse team to achieve excellence in delivering against team objectives while sustaining high employee engagement
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives and ensures the effective utilization of data assets and analytical capability.
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the organization, promoting data literacy and driving data-driven decision-making to address business needs.
  • Establish and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of data systems and platforms that support data analytics, executive reporting, and business intelligence.
  • Advanced data science and analytics capabilities include defining the right organization, tools and technology, processes, and governance needed to meet the needs of our business partners.
  • Immersion in strategic and tactical plans across franchises to proactively support performance measurement and executive reporting needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, to build alliances cross-functionally, and the flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Economic Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research or ness) required.

Experience

  • 15 years of progressive business experience in data strategy, data warehouse, data science, or analytics space, including 10+ years building and leading successful Data and Analytics organizations.
  • Should possess intellectual curiosity and be willing to explore innovative analytics and insights approaches to meet brand objectives.
  • Proficient in translating business strategy into a Data and Analytics vision, driving the creation and execution of a multi-year roadmap with a focus on data strategy, architecture, advanced analytics, data science, data mining, and machine learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and teams in a fast-paced environment and to inspire rapid adoption of change in a complex matrixed organization with distributed virtual teams.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare data particularly claims and lab data, and how to leverage this data to drive business outcomes.
  • A strong knowledge of Data Science such as Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Big Data, Data Management, and Data Governance.
  • A results-driven leader with exceptional business vision and strategic acumen, proven in solving complex problems, cultivating creativity, and effectively extracting the broader business narrative from facts and data.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver compelling executive-level presentations. Clear verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to convey complex concepts and analyses in an accessible and compelling way.

 Technical Skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite. Knowledge of SAS, R, and Python preferred.

Non-Technical Skills

The ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change the course of action quickly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. A strong work ethic is required. Detail-oriented and excellent follow-through. Has the ability to flex and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-growth environment. Has a passion for personal learning and development to be able to grow with the company. Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization
