MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair. 
 
Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as East Providence, RI and Denver, CO.

MOO’s award winning creative team brings our brand to life across our channels and beyond. We’re responsible for making sure everything looks, sounds and feels consistent – and nowhere is that more important than our verbal identity.

You will be responsible for writing the words that bring our brand and products to life. Working closely with our team of designers, photographers, fellow copywriters and art workers you will add personality, wit and an undeniable MOOness to everything we put out into to the world (and in our office). You will be responsible for the verbal identity of the brand and the quality and consistency of our copy across all touch points while mentoring in-house and freelance copywriters.

The Person We Want:

  • 10+ years' experience, with leadership background at either a recognised creative agency or in-house brand team
  • Strong conceptual thinker, as well as impeccable writing skills
  • Ability to mentor and grow our copy team
  • Always spots an opportunity for a bit of wit, or a chance to show off some MOO personality no matter the medium

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all MOO copy, ensuring everything is error-free, feels on brand and in line with our TOV, and brand strategy
  • Mentor and support your copy team, and help others in the business to write confidently with MOO personality
  • Support process of creative studio to ensure workload for you and fellow copywriters is planned in advance and setup for success
  • When necessary take on key writing projects
  • Be a strong creative voice in the creative department and across the business
  • Continue to evolve and refine the MOO personality
  • Be a bridge between the copy team and other departments, building strong relationships and inspiring confidence

About You:

  • You're a highly experienced copywriter, able to handle both long copy jobs and large conceptual briefs
  • You're happy to oversee other copywriters, supporting them and ensuring all copy that goes out is on brand and of a high standard
  • You don't just care about words, you throw yourself into your subject matter – gaining a thorough understanding of your audience, who they are, and what they need
  • You've worked at a variety of places, in various industries, including those with a focus on the US market – an understanding of our North American audience would be great
  • You keep up to date with the various channels out there, looking out for what works in different places and why
  • Whether it's social, emails, our packaging or a random office wall that could do with a sparkling dose of charm, you bring the same level of word-based love to the job at hand. Oh, and you're a lovely person. That always works round here. It helps you fit in with all the other lovely people you'll be sharing your days with
