Job Description:

How do we expand the market of Refinery29’s lifestyle platform and deepen our users’ engagement?  As the Head of Growth Engineering, you will develop and shape a technology vision to answer that question every day.  You’ll be responsible for leading, mentoring, growing and inspiring a talented team of engineers behind that vision, especially as we expand globally.  You will promote a culture of excellence in executing on high-quality software and collaborate with talented product and design teams to scale our products and solutions.  You care deeply about Refinery29’s culture and core values, as you balance technical decisions for growth while ensuring superior customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Passion, drive and motivation for innovation in technology - As a seasoned engineer, you have experience designing and building highly scalable solutions across the stack.
  • Commitment to leadership - As a manager, you have mentored staff and have shown a history of leading teams and projects to success.  You have promoted a culture of engineering excellence and accountability.
  • Effective communicator - You have experience working across engineering, product, design and leadership to drive hard decisions, influencing cross-functional teams in order to make the right and best choices.
