Background and Opportunity
The concept of product development and project management is rapidly changing. The definition of a product manager has evolved over the past few decades - they define product roadmaps and the overarching go-to-market strategy, engineering plausibility, and general business strategy of the company. It is a complex, interdisciplinary role that requires levels of collaboration between the makers, contributors, customers, users, and partners for a company to launch a series of successful products.
Companies often focus on their sales-driven metrics to power their growth; however, the true driver of growth is a series of successful product launches built through a collaboration of excellent craftsmanship. Collaboration is key to success in both managing and developing a customer-friendly product. That is exactly what Productboard had in mind when we developed our product management system.
We’re looking for a Head of Growth to be the GM for our self-serve business and lead our product and GTM functions working on related initiatives. The market for a product management system is still in its infancy so it is critically important for individual product managers or teams to try out and adopt Productboard at a team level and expand across all teams over a period of time. The candidate will set the vision and goals for the self-service business, get buy-in from the executive team and lead a cross functional team to execute against the goals. The candidate will oversee the product teams building various self-serve products and be responsible for the GTM aspects of taking those products to market. We expect a successful candidate to act as a business owner and have a clear understanding of the markets, segments, personas, buyers and PLG motions, know the key drivers of the business, and take responsibility for the overall success in the market. The candidate is an experienced business leader with expertise in B2B SaaS products and product-led growth initiatives. The candidate will be reporting to the Head of Product and Design.
We are seeking a highly creative, data-driven, and experienced product leader to spearhead our new Product Led Growth (PLG) function. In this role, you will lead a talented team of developers, product managers, designers, sales assistants, and growth marketers to drive down customer acquisition costs (CAC) while increasing the lifetime value (LTV) of the business we acquire through your team's efforts.
If you have a strong background in product management and a proven track record of driving product growth, we would love to talk to you!
