The Role

We are looking for a senior legal professional, responsible for overseeing and managing the legal affairs of Plentific. The successful candidate will need to build and lead a core team of lawyers / legal support staff, manage a network of external lawyers and provide legal advice and guidance to the wider business, including executives, managers and employees alike.


Responsibilities

  • Providing legal advice and guidance on a wide range of legal matters such as contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, intellectual property and corporate governance
  • Overseeing the operation of the legal department
  • Conducting legal training for staff
  • Identifying and mitigating legal risks
  • Developing and implementing legal procedures and policies to ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws
  • Drafting, negotiating and vetting contracts, legal documents and agreements
  • Conducting legal research to ensure their organisation is up-to-date with the latest legal changes
  • Representing the company in legal proceedings, working with outside counsel when required

Skills

  • Natural leadership and management skills
  • Ability to communicate in an assertive and clear manner
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • German speaking is desirable but not essential

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law or a related field acquired from an accredited institution - essential
  • A master’s degree in law or business administration - desirable but not essential
  • 7+ years PQE, with experience in:
  • commercial law and intellectual property – essential
  • compliance and regulation, especially data protection – essential
  • company secretarial and corporate law – essential
  • employment law – desirable but not essential
  • Experience in a global business environment is desirable
