Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain

At Bodyport, we are on a mission to eliminate the leading cause of death worldwide - heart disease. We are bridging the gap between hospital grade medical devices and the health tools presently available in the home. Our first product uses a novel sensor technology to rapidly screen for the major risk factors of heart disease in under fifteen seconds. The clinical grade data measured by our system fuels algorithms aimed at predicting and preventing the onset of cardiovascular disease.

By joining us as the Head of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for creating a robust supply chain for our lifesaving medical technology. You will also work closely with our engineering and product teams to develop and refine our product requirements based on manufacturing and supply chain constraints. Ultimately, you will help us put the Bodyport technology in every home.

  • Lead a cross functional team to build and execute a robust supply chain for new products
  • Lead technical project management for prototype development, DFM, tool qualification, process control and documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to iterate product requirements based on manufacturing and supply chain constraints
  • Manage the contract manufacturer RFP/RFQ, contract negotiation and selection process
  • Facilitate meetings to track progress against plans and resolve issues to keep the program on time
  • Handle procurement, commodity management & logistics
  • International travel (20-30%)


  • Track record of driving hardware products from design to manufacturing and mass production
  • Technical experience working on the development of electromechanical devices including work with high precision plastic and/or sheet metal components
  • Experience with ISO 13485 and cGMP compliant quality management systems
  • Experience leading vendor qualification and selection process
  • Minimum 5 years of supply chain or factory related experience
  • BS in Engineering or MS in Business, Supply Chain Management
  • Excellent written and communication skills


  • Experience building a supply chain from the ground up
  • Experience launching new medical devices or consumer electronics products
  • Previous work with glass molding/pressing vendors
  • Experience with product planning and forecasting
