Head of Product and Customer Experience (Finland)

As Head of Product and Customer Experience (CX) in Finland, you will lead and grow Nortal’s diverse Product and Customer Experience consulting team.

You will be responsible for innovating and delivering world-class and valuable products and services for high profile private sector and government clients. You will work closely with Nortal’s technology thought leaders to shape the future of digital government, healthcare, retail and industry 4.0  - and this is just a start!

It is an exciting time to be joining the Global Product and CX Leadership Team at Nortal now as we further develop our value proposition, capability strategy and roadmap to support Nortal’s continued hypergrowth.

We are looking for a digital leader with multi-functional professional services experience, ideally with experience in areas such as Product Management, Product Design, Service Design, Design Research, Business Design / Consulting and Software Development.

This role has a dual reporting line, to a Chief Seamless Officer (Local Chief Operating Officer), and also to the Global Chief Product Officer. 

Your strategic responsibilities:

  • Industry trends – identify emerging themes, technologies and skills, build Nortal’s capability internally in response and position Nortal as a thought leader externally
  • Methodologies, tools and KPIs - implement best practice product and CX processes and work with other disciplines across Nortal to agree the best way to deliver. Set KPIs and benchmarks, and introduce tools as necessary to manage projects and delivery
  • People leadership – build teams, coach individuals and inspire high performance
  • Value proposition design – work with local leadership and sales teams, as well as the Global Product and CX Leadership Team, to develop a proposition that generates value for clients and demand for Nortal services

Your operational responsibilities:

  • Sales  – convince the customer that we are the best company to support their product and CX objectives. Proactively identify and shape local product and CX opportunities with the support of the local leadership team
  • Delivery – involve yourself directly in the delivery of particularly strategic or complex engagements. Work with your team to ensure quality and timeliness of delivery across all engagements
  • Team management - Ensure capacity to deliver the pipeline of Product and CX work. Manage hiring processes, onboarding and performance management

Your desired experience:

  • 5+ years of professional services experience (in consultancies, agencies or custom software development businesses)
  • 5+ years in leadership positions in product, CX and / or consulting
  • 10+ years of experience delivering across disciplines such as Product Management, Product Design, Service Design, Design Research, Business Design / Consulting and Software Development (we expect you’ll have deep experience in 1-3 of these disciplines, with at least some working knowledge of the others)
  • Evidence of thought leadership, proposition and methodology development in product and CX and / or consulting
  • Experience working in a global, matrix management organization
  • History of working with sales teams and clients to identify, scope and sell Product and CX focused opportunities and engagements
  • Mix of ‘client side’ and ‘agency / consulting side’ experience
  • Fluent Finnish and English skills
