About the Role

As the Head of Talent at Mux, you'll build the recruiting team, strategy, and vision that will help Mux achieve our goal of scaling a world-class team.

Mux cares deeply about people and we’ve invested in our people and recruiting functions heavily from the start. With our plans to double in size both this year and next, we want to ensure we have a leader who will set a clear vision and partner across the business to help us build the best possible team we can, together.

What You'll Do

  • Develop a recruiting strategy and vision that’ll carry us through the next 18-24+ months of our growth.
  • Manage and mentor a growing team of talented and dedicated recruiters.
  • Collaborate with Mux leadership to grow the company from 50 to 200+ across technical and business teams over the next two years.
  • Partner across the business to build and drive our DE&I practice.
  • Continue to build and execute on our talent acquisition playbook, including crucial elements like interview training, candidate experience, and employer branding.
  • Partner with finance and operations to develop headcount plans and budgets as it pertains to talent acquisition.

Who You Are

  • 8+ years experience building both technical and business teams in a high-growth startup environment.
  • Experience building, mentoring, and managing a team that can scale hiring at a relevant pace to our size.
  • Experience hiring for senior level roles (Director+) and/or working with executive search partners.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional influence, including working with People, Finance, and Operations teams to align on a shared talent strategy.
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy for candidates and teammates.
  • Startup DNA. Excited to be involved in all aspects of talent acquisition, from jumping in on a search to developing a company-wide recruiting strategy.
