identifyHer is a digital health company using wearable enabled AI to assist in the detection and management of perimenopause. At identifyHer, we objectively detect and profile the frequency and severity of the most common menopausal symptoms. Our aim is to empower women by providing them with information about their symptoms and guide the best approach to manage the menopausal transition.
 
What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health Data Scientist with experience in signal processing and machine learning techniques to play a key role in the development of an innovative digital health product for women transitioning through perimenopause. This is a Research and Development (R&D) role that pushes the boundaries of AI to create a life improving product by working with data from a variety of sources including:
  1. processed time series data generated by the identifyHer wearable sensor
  2. data collected from “gold-standard” devices, qualitative measurement instruments
  3. data entered manually by identifyHer clients via the mobile application.
You will use these data sources to design, train, deploy and monitor machine learning algorithms that allow women to detect and track their symptoms as well as providing meaningful insights that help them evaluate the effectiveness of lifestyle and other management strategies..
 

Job location
  • We are based in Dublin, Ireland 
  • We offer flexible work from home opportunities (Hybrid)
  • Remote work will be considered if you live within GMT+2-hrs
 
What will I be doing? 
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis on large-scale, time-series biometric datasets generated from a wearable device.
  • Extract meaningful insights and trends from large-scale structured and unstructured data.
  • Design, develop, validate and deploy statistical, signal processing & machine learning algorithms at scale, for the detection and tracking of menopausal symptoms.
  • Development of benchmarking and quality control of data
  • Work closely with data and software engineers to integrate algorithms into the wearable device ecosystem, productise the models and enhance the overall functionality.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring systems to ensure the ongoing performance and reliability of deployed algorithms.
  • Document all phases of the data analysis and model development process, including code, methodologies, and results. Create user-friendly documentation for non-technical stakeholders.

What skills do I need?
  • Strong experience in multiple machine learning, deep learning, bio-signal processing and statistical modelling approaches.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C/C++.
  • The ability to create intuitive data visualisations by demonstrating proficiency with relevant tools (Tableau, Python/matplotlib).
  • Experience building and deploying data science products in AWS 
  • Proficient in reviewing the scientific literature, and extracting key data for the purpose of informing and contributing to algorithm development.
  • Ability to handle terabytes of sensitive data from customers and adhere to security and compliance regulations. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to present findings to both internal and external stakeholders and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies in the rapidly changing field of health monitoring and data science.
  • Be adaptable to meet the changing needs and requirements of a start-up company.
 
What qualifications and experience are we looking for? 
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data analysis and machine learning. This timeframe can include MSc or PhD training in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Bio-statistician, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and validating machine learning models.
  • Knowledge or experience working with processed physiological time series data or wearable devices is an advantage.
  • Success deploying and monitoring models is an advantage
