What you’ll be doing:

As a HR Intern with MaxPeople, you will be working alongside our HR Advisors and HR Consultants as we act as our clients' outsourced HR department, assisting them with all of their “people” issues including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, legislative compliance, employment law, terminations, employee programs and so much more. We do this by providing our clients with customized HR solutions that support their people, processes, productivity, and profit.

Your duties and responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Support the HR Consulting Team with a variety of HR initiatives
  • Provide project and process support including conducting research, analysis and recommendations
  • Research information to send out to clients to ensure they are kept up to date on employment legislation and interesting HR facts
  • Compile data and prepare reports both for internal and external purposes
  • Lead specific HR Projects focused on continuous improvement for clients and MaxPeople
  • Support recruitment for entry level positions
  • Assist with administrative support for Employment Law division
  • Provide support for training content and delivery
  • Assist with potential client leads utilizing Salesforce
  • Assist with all other HR projects as required

Requirements

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Must be in the process of completing a post-secondary diploma / degree in Human Resources or related field and actively enrolled in a co-op / Internship program is a requirement.
  • High sense of urgency and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Extremely adaptable and flexible to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to take initiative and be a self-starter
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Comfortable during interactions with senior level clients and staff
  • Ability to apply discretion and sound judgment to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate future needs and/or potential challenges that may arise
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and an adaptable and collaborative style
  • Demonstrated track record of effective customer focus
  • Highly proficient computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
