We empower patients to better manage their healthcare by allowing them to easily order and track their prescriptions in real-time. What makes Phlo different? In London we offer a 4-hour same day delivery time slot and we’re getting ready to expand our same-day delivery service throughout the rest of England. We also offer next day delivery service throughout the UK.

What you’ll do
You’ll be the first dedicated HR Manager at Phlo, reporting to our Chief Financial Officer. There’s lots to do in this role from general HR responsibilities to creating your own people plan. We’re looking for someone who can go from the responsive to the proactive - driving Phlo’s people capabilities and playing a key role in making Phlo a brilliant place to work.

You may be working on multiple projects at once, so adaptability and the ability to self-organise are also key.

Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- General HR responsibilities for a growing team (circa 50 employees) spread across the UK
- Review and streamline Phlo’s current HR processes.
- With support of a consultant define Phlo’s People Culture ensuring the entire team lives the company’s values and culture.
- Create Phlo’s onboarding programme for new hires; from placing an advert until the end of probation period.
- Support hiring managers during recruitment.
- Work with department heads to put in place people plans to support the company’s growth plans.
- Proactive HR support to managers on all employee relations issues.
- Review & maintain HR tools including holiday management, performance management and recruitment.
- Implement Phlo’s learning and development framework e.g. appraisals, goal setting, salary reviews, training and education including CPD.
- Salary benchmarking and recommendations.
- Review & implement Phlo’s Reward and employee perks.
- Assist with retention and succession planning.
- Create, live and breathe a company culture and values plan for Phlo.
Skills:
- 5+ years in HR, CIPD qualified preferable.
- Extensive knowledge of UK HR policies, best practice and UK employment law
- Recruitment experience
- Proactive individual with strong organisational skills.
- Self-motivated with a growth mindset
- Excellent stakeholder management.
- A willingness to learn and grow in the role.
- A willingness to travel to our UK sites if required (London/Birmingham).
- Right to work in UK is essential.

- We benchmark salaries to make sure we are competitive. The salary range on offer is £35,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience).

Logistics
We're headquartered in Glasgow, where this role is based, though we’re all working remotely at home during this pandemic. This role will report into our Chief Financial Officer and will co-locate with the Phlo team when we’re back in the office. There’s opportunity for some flexibility, but as a key part of the team this won’t be a fully remote position.
