The client is seeking an HR Services Specialist. The purpose of the Services Specialist position is to provide general human resource and communication support to the facility. This role will be responsible for employee relations, hourly payroll administration, local HRIS administration, and recruiting efforts for hourly roles.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • General human resources and communication activities necessary to administer accurate timekeeping and reporting, payroll, maintenance of personnel files and records, interpretation of policies and procedures, counsel to staff members and assistance to employees as needed
  • Focus on hourly recruiting to meet staffing needs to support two shift operations
  • Recruiting efforts to include, but are not limited to, internal/external job sites, job fairs, local advertisements, partnering with Mesa County Workforce Center, and offering additional ideas to drive recruitment and retention
  • Ensure hourly new hire protocol (job offers, drug testing, background checks, etc.) is followed Conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals
  • Process payroll (payroll deductions, reporting, timecard review, historical edits)
  • Validate employee eligibility and earnings for annual CIP bonus payouts
  • Maintain employee data in HRIS system, including annual rate increases, employee deductions, etc.
  • Facilitate the Leave of Absence process
  • Ensure all job postings and HR postings are posted as needed
  • Maintain confidential personnel files
  • Act as primary point of contact for HR questions and requests in the absence of the HR leader
  • May assist supervisors/managers in conducting employee evaluations
  • Organize all company functions, parties, picnics, celebrations
  • Oversee Communication efforts including but not limited to plant newsletter, company announcements, compliance bulletin boards, electronic communications board, and quarterly town hall meeting
  • Purchase basic office/production/laboratory/safety supplies as needed
  • Purchase order entry in SAP
  • Partner with local agencies regarding temp employee staffing

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Associates Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience (Bachelors degree preferred)
  • Bilingual Spanish/English speaker
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to learn and understand other software applications such as SAP or ADP
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Working knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
  • Minimal travel required (0 - 10 days per year)
  • Work environment is typical of an office setting in a manufacturing location
