Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator / Co-op will be given the opportunity to develop and practice skills in many aspects of Human Resources. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PDT or MDT or relocate to a specific office (site-based). You must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the co-op term (you will also be returning back to the post-secondary institution once the co-op term is completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable.

Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Involvement in the application of Human Resources policies and procedures, salary and benefits administration, organizational communications, performance management and other project work as assigned
- Update employee data in HRIS systems
- Assist with recruitment, including preparing postings, conducting prescreens and scheduling interviews, ensuring that recruitment procedures and processes are followed
- Draft letters and communications
- Research and report writing as needed
- Assist with HR projects
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources (Preference will be given to students in their third and fourth years)
- Adaptable and flexible, as well as open to learning and trying new things
- Motivated self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision and be able to coordinate several tasks and/or projects simultaneously
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Previous Co-op experience is an asset
- Able to maintain confidentiality and a high level of integrity
- Ability to take initiative
- Spanish speaking would be considered an asset
Wage Range: $3900 - $5000 / Month
Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
