Fender is seeking a forward-thinking and motivated HR Coordinator, eager to gain invaluable business experience and enhance their HR skills and knowledge by supporting the Director, Human Resources and the HR Business Partner team. The ideal candidate will exhibit a polished, proactive, resourceful, and flexible demeanor and will excel in this role by applying critical thinking skills and fostering strong partnerships across the organization. This role is hybrid with visits to our Hollywood or Corona offices (1 time per week minimum). The ideal candidate is local to the Greater Los Angeles or Riverside area.

Essential Functions: 

  • Employee Onboarding & Offboarding:
    • Facilitate new hire orientation, ensuring a smooth and engaging onboarding process.
    • Coordinate the exit process for departing employees, including exit interviews and paperwork.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Help manage the internal Fender HR Inbox, and act as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
    • Collaborate with employees to ensure consistent HR service delivery.
    • Help coordinate employee engagement activities and events.
  • HR Administration:
    • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR Systems.
    • Assist with updating HR policies and procedures on the company intranet.
    • Act as point of contact for specific HR systems such as DocuSign and Orange Tree.
    • Coordinate tracking of critical processes, including projects, SOPs, and HR initiatives.
  • HR Projects & Initiatives:
    • Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and employee experience.
    • Conduct research and gather data to support HR projects and initiatives.
    • Support strategic HR projects, including but not limited to the annual Talent Assessment, anti-harassment training, and other compliance-related projects.
  • Performance Management:
    • Assist in the administration of performance-related processes, including PIPs, CAFs, and the annual review process.
    • Track and monitor performance and development plans.
  • Confidentiality & Accuracy:
    • Handle sensitive employee information with utmost confidentiality and integrity.
    • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of HR data and documents, maintaining high standards of data security and privacy.
    • Set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimal direction.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR support role or related administrative position preferred
  • Experience in a hybrid work environment is a plus
  • A natural sense of urgency and hunger to execute quickly and efficiently
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience navigating complex organizations and communicating with key stakeholders across the business
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format and build relationships with multiple stakeholders

Fender is required by law in certain jurisdictions to include a pay scale in the job posting for this position.  “Pay scale” means the salary or hourly wage range that Fender reasonably expects to pay for this position; it is neither a promise nor a guarantee of the compensation that the successful candidate will receive.  The pay scale for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that Fender considers in making compensation decisions, including, without limitation: skill set, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.  If this is a remote position, the pay scale disclosed herein may be adjusted further based upon the applicable geographic differential associated with the location from which the successful candidate will work.  Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role – especially as a new hire – and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $20.10/hr-$29.08/hr.
