The Opportunity: The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the fundamental administrative tasks within the human resources department.  This includes processing payroll, maintaining electronic Human Resources (HR) files, performing data entry and HRIS reports, assisting with recruiting functions, performing clerical tasks and other administrative duties as assigned. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Process multi-state, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls
  • Assist with recruiting functions including scheduling interviews, screening applications, and processing background checks.
  • Data entry and reporting functions for various HRIS, ATS systems, etc.
  • Maintain employee birthday and anniversary database in American Greeting cards.
  • Organize and maintain electronic HR files.
  • Generate various HR and Payroll reports.
  • Maintain and distribute compliance posters and notices.
  • Fund Health Savings Accounts each pay period.
  • Reconcile Health Savings Account and Flexible Savings Account funding.
  • Process weekly 401(k) file feeds and enter changes in ExponentHR; provide Payroll with file feed report to ensure changes are processed.
  • Process 401(k) loans file feeds, providing Payroll with amortization schedule and copy of file feed.
  • Prepare monthly benefit billing reports.
  • Track and follow up with employees on HR documents to ensure all forms are returned timely with appropriate signatures (e.g., company policies, new hire forms, I-9, etc.);
  • Maintain Unemployment Insurance Rates
  • Assist with HR projects and communications.
  • Coordinate all new hire workstations set up.
  • Enter SNOW tickets as needed.
  • Maintain HR Compliance calendar.
  • All other projects and duties are assigned by the HR team.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of human resources experience  
  • 2+ years of data entry experience
  • Payroll experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented individual
  • Ability to interface with all levels of employees.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable.
  • Must present a professional and pleasant demeanor.
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Interest in the human resources profession is preferred. 
  • Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred.
  • ExponentHR, Greenhouse and Workday experience preferred.

Pay Range: $27-30/hr.
