About the job

Reporting to the Store Manager, you act as a trustworthy business partner who takes a multi-dimensional view of the business, connecting the needs of customers and the organisation with a complete overview of the store’s P&L. You support and challenges the organisation and is responsible to steer the store’s business performance, adding value to our assets, securing profitable growth while driving for more effciencies. Together with the Country Business Navigation Manager, you take the lead in developing and promoting lean, simple and effective ways of working.

Your assignment

  • Drive and coordinate the financial business planning process and secure that the financial dimensions are aligned with the store challenges and priorities while involving and creating commitment among stakeholders
  • Having the full understanding of the P&L for the store and steer actions to provide store in shape as new, reducing costs while considering all impacts on the P&L. Follow up the result and create forecasts and (if needed) activate applicable scenario plan
  • Lead the store Business Plan process together with the store manager and store steering team and proactively work with local market data to understand people’s life at home and our customers experience across all touch-points to provide relevant insights
  • Demonstrate leadership and oversee the overall delivery (i.e. accuracy and quality) of the overall financial accounting & reporting. Perform final review and approval of overall end to end process and its quality
  • Identify commercial opportunities together with the store commercial team
  • Provide relevant, user-friendly business information and promote standardised reports to support optimal business decisions
  • Secure that all investments are done with proper analysis/ ROI, considering all aspects of different projects
  • Lead and develop leaders and co-workers; identify and develop talents to secure strong succession planning
  • Take the lead on the assigned country topics and drive performance update, commercial and operational insights (where possible) and secure the relevant inputs during the forecasting and budgeting process

Your profile

  • A strategic finance business partner with at least 8 years of finance leadership experience, possess strong commercial acumen to recognise trends and translate them into business opportunities
  • A leader who leads by example and is committed to developing talents to grow and to accomplish organisational goals
  • A collaboration champion with strong influencing skills to navigate and succeed in a large matrix organisation
  • A high-energy individual who feels invigorated by a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This will be supported by a proven track record of driving business growth and contributing to overall success through people
  • A data expert who is highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Power BI and can work resiliently in a constantly changing environment
  • A retailer who contributes towards the business through actions and presence including weekends, public holidays and on rotating shifts
