Zearn is seeking an Implementation Manager who will support the Director of Implementation by owning multiple workstreams within the implementation portfolio, authoring implementation assets, and maintaining cross-functional partnerships. The Implementation Manager will be a strategic thinker and a proactive problem solver, who can help develop the implementation supports required by district leaders, school leaders, and teachers. This role is perfect for someone who loves systems thinking and creative problem solving, and who cares deeply about seeing high-quality instructional materials implemented well. The Implementation Manager will get to do the conceptual work of grappling with the nuances of school, district, and state implementation rollouts and subsequently perform the tactical work of creating resources that will help make those rollouts excellent.

What This Role Will Do:

  • Own implementation workstreams
    • Take responsibility for multiple workstreams within the implementation portfolio, including projects like customizing implementation resources for specific use-cases.
    • Work to fully understand the problem for each workstream, identify the opportunity, develop a solution, and then create, test, and iterate that solution.
    • Occasionally own problems completely by working on it independently and then bringing an analysis and recommendations back to the ID to refine together.
    • Work closely with implementation team members, contractors, and internal teams to ensure that deliverables within their workstreams are high-quality and released on time.
  • Author implementation assets
    • Author copy for videos, decks, and various support documents that Zearn provides to its school and district partners.
    • Collaborate with various subject matter experts within Zearn to ensure that copy is accurate and aligned to the work of other teams.
    • Coordinate with designers and production teams to ensure that the final deliverable is polished, professional and aligned to Zearn’s brand and voice.
  • Maintain cross-functional partnerships
    • Identify which teams and individuals at Zearn should be involved in each part of the implementation work.
    • Determine when different individuals should co-author, provide review, receive updates, etc.
    • Communicate regularly and effectively with all team members
    • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships across a wide range of teams at Zearn so that their work–and the culture of collaboration at Zearn–is the best it can be.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Experience driving large projects, including the ability to lead and direct colleagues, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines
  • 3+ years of experience supporting curriculum implementation at the district (preferred) or school level
  • A deep understanding of curriculum implementation at the school and district level
  • Comfort with ambiguity and undefined problems, and the willingness to ask questions that no one else is asking.
  • An enthusiasm for systems thinking, especially as it applies to Zearn’s internal processes
  • The ability to shift between high-level, strategic thinking and tactical production of resources, without getting stuck in either
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A spirit of collaboration and the relational skill to develop joyful, productive partnerships with people across the organization
