Communication Intern
Summary of Internship:
Search offers paid internships to support its program activities in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. The duration of the internship is agreed upon the finalization of the selection process.
Your Contribution:
The intern will assist Search for Common Ground (Search) Kyrgyzstan team with implementing project activities. S/he will provide assistance in developing effective communication strategies, creating content for social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook), and contributing to the implementation of the promotion plan. The intern reports to the Country Director and collaborates closely with the Communication Specialist and Project Coordinators.
Qualifications:
- Has or is in the process of acquiring a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media and Communications, Social Sciences, Peacebuilding, Conflict studies, International Relations, or any related fields;
- Has knowledge of SMM and graphic editors for photos, video, and infographics processing.
- Awareness of popular social networking trends and principles of social Internet platforms;
- Experience in creating visual and video content, ability to work in front of the camera;
- Сreativity, good communication, and writing skills;
- Advanced English, Kyrgyz, and Russian language skills (written and oral);
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
- Computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft Office applications;
- Experience with international NGOs is an asset;
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing ideas and creating content of different formats (posts, videos, graphics) for all social networks (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook),
- Shooting video materials and maintaining a corporate account on Tiktok, Instagram, and Facebook,
- Collaborating with bloggers and influencers to promote the brand and projects on social media;
- Providing logistical support in organizing conferences, workshops, training, and other project events;
- Assisting with travel arrangements, hotel/hostel reservations, and travel authorizations in compliance with organizational financial and operational guidelines;
- Providing written and oral translation between the languages of English, Russian and Kyrgyz;
This is a paid internship. The application will close on October 19, 2023.
