About the Inside Sales Representative role

Our fast-paced Inbound Sales Team has an infectiously positive attitude and drive to win. We are looking for a sales representative to help quickly develop and expand our sales operation and customer base. Your exceptional communication skills will connect you with customers by email and phone--quickly establishing trust and rapport.

This role will include paid training to earn your insurance license.

You will: 

  • Effectively market and pitch the unique Metromile product and value proposition
  • Identify customer needs and help tailor personal, value related proposals
  • Build, manage, and maintain a sales pipeline in your targeted markets
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on our insurance services and the industry as a whole
  • Turn one customer into four through the best marketing channel... word of mouth
  • Act as an outward-facing ambassador of Metromile's beliefs, brand, and product

About You

When the rubber meets the road you put your head down and get the hard work done. You have something to prove. You’re racing to win. You want to be a part of a team that pushes you and improves you day in and day out. You are resilient and confident, but also well-spoken on the phone and eloquent in emails.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or other related field is a must
  • Sales experience with Business to Business phone calls in tech, software, or sustainable technology is preferred
  • Experience in account management, advertising, or small business is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Google Apps will earn you some bonus points
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bonus points for bilingual skills in Spanish
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast-growing, competitive start-up enviornment
  • Self-managed, highly motivated, and confident
  • Very organized and diligent in managing your day
