Insurance QA Team Leader

To support our continued growth and exciting plans, we’re looking for an Insurance QA Team Leader to join our growing Insurance Commercial Team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and overview of our insurance team to ensure that our internal compliance checks meet our high standards. Acting as a referral point for junior team members and provide coaching and assistance to the team.
As well as assessing and monitoring quality standards you will be skilled at providing feedback, suggesting improvements, collating statistics and providing support and training where required to the wider Insurance Broking team.
As part of our Insurance Commercial team, this role will focus on the quality and standards of our interactions with our insurance customers, both verbal and written; highlighting areas where our people or processes can improve and develop an even better customer proposition.
In this role, you’ll be:
- Manage and contribute to the ongoing development of the team (including two direct reports), ensuring internal audit processes are carried out accurately and training plans are followed.
- Complete and supervise audits of new and renewal policies to identify technical knowledge gaps, ensure quality and accuracy.
- Produce daily/weekly trading figures and produce monthly reports.
- Manage broker referrals on specific cases as required.
- Provide post training support to the sales agents including call listening and coaching.
- Handle accounting queries and resolve any issues that prevent insurer payments.
- Interacting with the training team to highlight where development issues have been identified.
- Supporting with ongoing activities within the Insurance commercial team.
- Escalating training issues and ensuring we close the loop with feedback and resolution to outstanding issues.
- Assisting with ongoing business projects as required
- Some UK based travel may be required
About you
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive, and high performing team, you’re likely to have similar experience previously, and be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience of commercial property insurance in either broking, claims or underwriting, is essential.
- Prior exposure to people management and development would be an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Acturis insurance broking software preferred, particularly within reports functionality.
- Have a good understanding of the Microsoft office suite of products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrate excellent listening and written skills
- A great attention to detail is essential
- Be confident in your own decision-making skills and with conveying information to others
- Be an ambitious learner, eager to understand and suggest improvements to processes
- Enjoy working both as part of a team and under your own initiative.
- CII qualification is an advantage however full CII exam support is funded by Bionic
