KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be accountable for our technical Home Insurance product and associated ancillary product offerings, including:

Product Developments: Using product information, customer feedback and market analysis to identify opportunities to improve our product(s) to ensure these continue to meet the ever changing need of our customer base. You’ll prepare an annual product review and present to Avantia’s board, laying out your product improvement roadmap for the following year.

Upskilling product knowledge: Working with stakeholders within Avantia and our outsourced partners to ensure everyone who “touches” a customer has a complete understanding of our product. Further, you’ll work with our digital team to ensure they develop the best online journey to ensure customers fully understand the product they are buying.

Manage insurance capacity: You’ll manage the relationship with our capacity and product providers. Working with our in-house underwriting and analytics function, you’ll produce and present a monthly snapshot of the overall product performance against targets, developing & proposing upcoming product initiatives and support the overall strategic narrative.

Requirements

Experience: Your background should include at least five years’ managing General Insurance products and/or propositions;

Interpersonal: You’ll need to tread a fine line to manage good working relationships, whilst ensuring your counterparts continue to add-value.

Analytical: Proficient in Excel and other BI tools, you’ll be able to analyse, interpret and simplify large volumes of data. You’ll be able to report trends, spot inaccuracies and use analytical insights to improve performance. Equally, you’ll be able to interpret the performance of other insurers from external market data, annual reports or publications to understand and support requirements for pricing or product changes.
