Integrated Marketing Manager

But to make the kind of difference we want to make in the world, we need to go even further. That's where you come in.

Upworthy is looking for a highly-motivated integrated marketing manager to help scale our growing media business. As an integrated marketing manager, you will coordinate with Upworthy’s sales team to make creative, winning sales pitches. We are looking for an inventive storyteller who can quickly and deeply understand client needs, develop smart concepts and insights, and make translatable, compelling, persuasive proposals for brands, foundations, and nonprofits.

You’ll be spending the majority of your time:

  • Positioning Upworthy as leading digital media in the advertising market through high-quality sales solutions, materials, and strong sales storytelling.
  • Working with Upworthy’s sales team to make the most of every opportunity (proactive and reactive) by building research and data-supported marketing models that match Upworthy’s properties and capabilities clearly to the market challenges and opportunities of our advertisers.
  • Creating digital sales proposal and presentation materials generating creative ideas and package solutions for pre-sales pitches that are rooted in storytelling and insights.
  • Working cross-collaboratively with teams to ensure sales solutions being developed are aligned with brand initiatives.
  • Assisting in media planning oversight to effectively capture our go-to market strategy.
  • Researching and understanding client needs and goals.
  • Proposing experiential concepts to support branded content programs.
  • Creating new marketing opportunities, promotional ad products, and sales materials, maximizing revenue potential through progressive digital advertising solutions.
  • Being an expert in the field of past, present, and future campaigns both internally and across the market.

The person we’re looking for:

  • Deeply understands video, social media and influencer landscape, digital marketing, and integrated digital campaigns.
  • Has a strong background in account management or integrated marketing at a leading publisher or agency.
  • Can present confidently and effectively at high-level client and agency meetings.
  • Has created advertiser decks/presentations and branded content strategy.
  • Adapts quickly in a frequently changing, distributed environment.
  • Is highly proficient with PowerPoint and Salesforce.
