MarketInvoice is hiring an

Investor Relations Analyst/Associate

London, United Kingdom

MarketInvoice, one of the UK's leading Fintechs, is looking for an Investor Analyst/Associate to analyse liquidity supply and demand dynamics, manage investor relationships and solve an array of complex and exciting challenges.

Who you’ll be working with

You’ll report to Rishi. He’s our Senior Investor Associate who knows our funding strategy, investor needs and platform operations inside out. The Investor Development team you’ll be working with is all about making it happen and are constantly looking for opportunities to learn, tackle new challenges and develop.

You’ll join them in securing funding lines to support our growing customers and their working capital needs as well as the growth of our business. They take pride in their work but are also always up for a laugh/game of table tennis and have the people skills to collaboratively work with other teams across the business. Join our team of super smart, highly ambitious over-achievers as we set about changing financial services forever.

At MarketInvoice, the opportunity for growth is as big as your ambition. Whether that’s progressing to a leadership role in your team or exploring an entirely new career path within the business. Maybe this job is part of your journey to starting your own business one day. We have big dreams and we expect you to have the same.

About us

One of “the nine hottest UK Fintech start-ups most likely to be worth £1 billion” - Business Insider

At MarketInvoice, our vision is for entrepreneurs to have the time to build the world we all want to live in.

We think entrepreneurs should be able to get on with growing their business, instead of having to worry about cash flow. That’s why we’re making it quick and easy to get funding through our invoice finance and business loans. We’re here to unlock the endless possibilities that arise when entrepreneurs have time to focus on what they love.

With our smart online platform, we were a Fintech before that was even a thing. But it’s not just about the tech. One of our biggest assets is our team of bright, talented and motivated people from all over the world. It’s one of the things our customers value most about us and one of the best things about working here.

We get stuff done quickly at MarketInvoice, with less talk and more action. It’s about thinking differently and not being afraid to do things that have never been done before. Like our partnership with Barclays for example. This game-changing collaboration is an industry first that will help even more UK businesses get the funding they need to grow.

Culture is a big deal for us. There’s always something happening, from fiercely competitive quiz nights to our Friday Town Hall meetings that roll into socialising on the roof terrace. We work, celebrate, share ideas, eat (lots of biscuits) and are always learning together as a team.

Our values matter and as part of the team, they’ll be yours too.

Your new role

In this role, you’ll manage the MarketInvoice investor community and be influential in servicing the lines of funding we have in place to support the needs of UK businesses.

What you’ll be doing

Having recently closed new and important financing facilities, the Investor Development team will look to you to manage the MarketInvoice investor community and help them continue doing great things for the business as we scale. It’s a fast paced environment but we’ll give you the support and training you need to thrive. As the company grows, your role will too.

We’re after someone that is energetic, a team player and has an entrepreneurial spirit who’s not afraid to question the status quo. You’ll be instrumental in onboarding new investors and performing AML/KYC checks while also working with our current partners. We’ll trust you to drive our investor reporting and performance analysis initiatives for both external and internal stakeholders. This will involve reporting for our government, institutional and high net worth investors as well as creating and compiling due diligence materials, marketing pitches and more.

We encourage each and every member of our team to take on responsibility and make sure they know they’re making a difference. That’s why we’ll spend time coaching you to become the point person for running the day-to-day investor side of the business. In time, we’ll look to you to analyse our platform’s liquidity supply and demand dynamics and lead communication with our existing investor accounts around platform queries and trade management.

You’ll be a valued member of your own and the wider MarketInvoice team, using your problem solving skills to support key initiatives across the business. Part of the role is not just knowing what the Investor Development team does, but also knowing how the entire business operates, from acquisition of customers to underwriting deals – exciting right? This means you’ll also get to work closely with teams across the business, collaborating with Sales, Risk, Marketing and Operations.

As an Investor Analyst/Associate, we’ll rely on you to drive investor satisfaction through your great spoken and written communication with customers, partners and service providers. In time, you'll develop an understanding of investor behavior and the key criteria most important to them when making investment decisions.

We’re excited about the organised, detail-oriented, analytical and self-driven approach that you’ll bring to the team and look forward to seeing your Excel skills, financial modelling experience and knowledge of different data storing systems in action. You’re also a whizz with Salesforce and have the technical know-how to create and use reports. We can’t wait to mentor you and enhance your skills further, deepening your knowledge and speed to think effectively and work efficiently.

For the Analyst role, you’ll have some experience of customer service, investor relations, asset management, banking and/or financial services.

For the Associate role, you’ll have 3-5 years experience in capital markets (securitisation, financial structuring, asset management), finance and project management.

Not only will you have the opportunity to make a huge impact at one of the UK's leading Fintechs, you’ll also have access to:

  • Best in class share options scheme
  • Innovation days
  • Amazon Kindle and unlimited book allowance
  • Private health coverage and half price Virgin Active gym membership
  • 25 days of annual leave per year, plus your birthday off
  • A great office (complete with roof terrace, awesome facilities and a community feel) in the heart of vibrant Shoreditch
