IT Business Partner & Service Manager

The essence of the role

Your aim is to continuously improve the current IT business solutions across various support functions, having a business focused perspective while understanding the constraints and opportunities of the current and future IT landscape. You will be part of a small and growing team, and this role will give you the opportunity to impact the way we work together across Sinch and in the recently founded Business IT function.

The Business IT's mission is to provide great centralized business information and tech services characterized by having the right information, tech and processes in place and enable value and cost efficiency through simplification, harmonization, and scalability.

Your responsibilities:

  • Act as the single point of contact between diverse business functions and IT for the full lifecycle of tech services in scope, from strategy and identified need to solution selection and ongoing service delivery.
  • Develop and anchor multi-functional process and tech thinking by representing the interest of multiple business functions in diverse initiatives and projects.
  • Proactively support and connect with internal stakeholders by formulating needs, translating these into fact-based business cases and turn into concrete decisions and solutions.
  • Contribute to the continued development of Sinch’s tech related policies and guidelines across e.g. data protection, IT security and procurement.
  • Support service and operating level management for internal and external services, increase awareness of service level agreements (SLA), and define operating level agreements (OLAs) based on internal requirements.

The role’s diverse responsibilities call for the ability to continuously create and keep structure; understand the big picture, have the capacity to drill down into details when necessary and a bridging the gaps in-between strategies and operational views. The multiple contact surfaces across the organisation both calls for the need of being a teammate and acting as a leader by ensuring that initiatives owned by you are progressing according to expectations.

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience, gained by working in the intersection between tech and business – either as a management consultant or in related role.
  • BSc in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Business orientated with strong communications skills, capable of facilitating the communication between partners from multiple functions.
  • Experience formulating business needs and developing fact-based decision material, including a good understanding and strong interest in how systems, processes and people interact, gained from experience.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Program and/or project management experience from cross-functional environments
  • Experience of working with service level agreements (SLA) and operating level agreements (OLA)
