IT Consultant / Project Officer

Budapest, Hungary

We currently have a vacancy for an IT Consultant fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Hungary, Budapest. The successful candidate will be integrated in the implementation team of the company and will closely cooperate on site with the IT team of the customer.


Your tasks:

  • Manage the implementation of IT projects, meeting identified business needs of the client, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality;
  • Give proposals for project strategies, planning, definition of tasks and deliverables, review of project deliverables, quality control, risk analysis and management, status reports, problem reporting and management systems, follow up and organization;
  • Estimate and monitor costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of project tasks to agreed terms of reference; take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances;
  • Prepare and maintain project and quality plans, track activities against the plan, provide regular and accurate reports;
  • Manage the change control procedure, gaining agreement for revisions to the project from project sponsors;
  • Analysis of business processes, data flows, organizational structures, and feasibility options;
  • Business processes modelling and analysis;
  • Provide training/coaching on enterprise architecture, data modelling and cost/benefit analysis;
  • Provide assistance with the implementation of the architecture;
  • Carry out analysis of information systems portfolio.


  • Minimum 5 years of university studies in IT;
  • Minimum 6 years of IT professional experience;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Management of information systems implementation;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with a project management methodology (e.g. PM2, PRINCE2, PMP) and experience in RUP, AGILE, or other software development methodology (eg. Agile, XP, Scrum);
  • Experience in enterprise architecture models and tools;
  • Understanding of quality procedures;
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
