IT Program Manager, Capital Projects (Fixed-term)

Currently, we are looking for an IT Program Manager who will be responsible for managing and delivering the IT capital projects related to a new HQ building and work cross-functionally with business units, key stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts and external consultants. This position provides solutions to a wide range of problems using in-depth knowledge of IT networking infrastructure and physical design (data drops), AV equipment, DAS (Distributed Antenna System), etc. This role is a six month fixed term position and will play a key role in ensuring projects are effectively executed, teams are kept focused, and on-track to meet the objectives of technology initiatives and financial budget. This role will be extended as needed for up to another six months.

Job Description and Specific Responsibilities

Immediate responsibilities include:

  • Plan and leads capital projects/programs that include the integration of outside technical resources or consultants
  • Provide technical leadership to teams conceiving, developing, and implementing major technology initiatives or upgrades
  • Manage multiple projects at one time (5 +) and ensure the scope and direction of each project is on schedule and within budget
  • Function as a liaison between IT and external consultants, and act as the go-to person to represent the entire project from the planning through the deployment and release to operations stage
  • Develop overall project timelines and key milestones; ensure teams meet critical dates leveraging Project Management tools
  • Ensure project risks are managed and communicate risks and implications to management as appropriate
  • Analyze feasibility and cost of technology deployments to lead the team to go/no-go decisions
  • Work with team to identify and execute cost savings opportunities


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Industrial and electrical engineering or related technical field
  • 5+ years of project management experience in the technology sector (IT, IT Networking, Audio/Video, DAS, Engineering, etc.)
  • Strong experience with IT professional service agreements, vendor management, and materials logistics
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including external consultants, SMEs,  upper management, and other functional departments
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment
  • Accurately and consistently forecasting project labor,  material, and contract costs
  • Proven experience in helping project teams move from ambiguity to clarity and in leading in a highly dynamic business environment
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, including understanding of the audience

Preferred Competencies

  • 2+ years of IT capital project work with exposure to new office or HQ development
  • PMP Certification
