Pleo is hiring an

IT Support Specialist

Copenhagen, Denmark

Not all heroes wear capes, some might even bear cables.

Once upon a time, our #office slack-channel was home to complaints about the WiFI signal and we were constantly testing the limits of the patience of our remote-people with the sound quality of our meeting rooms.

Then we started seeing brighter days, thanks to our own personal hero and IT manager, who brought with him “A go-getter attitude that would make even Teddy Roosevelt shed a tear in pride” (his words, but most def not false advertising).

His super-IT powers weren’t enough though. With us growing from less than a hundred to around a hundred and fifty in the space of a few months and satellite offices popping up like weeds, we started to stretch this one-man-IT-army to his limits, plus frankly, he needed some company.

So we found a Robin to our IT-Batman and that worked very well. So well in fact, that our Robin recently got a staring gig elsewhere where he’ll run the show, so here we are again looking for another hero to add to our IT Squad.

Don’t like the Batman - Robin analogy? OK, we are looking for a Morty to our Rick (just kidding), a Pikachu to our Ash (hmm, better but not quite there yet), a Sam to our Frodo (this might actually work, Sam had a lot of hero moments),or a Zelda to our Link, anyway you get it (hopefully).

In this role, along with our IT-manager, you'll be responsible for all information technology and computer systems. You would be based in our Copenhagen HQ but you have the chance to travel in order to set-up and support our satellite offices(hello London, Stockholm, Berlin, Madrid and more in the future ).  You will also be in charge of ensuring a great remote experience for those Pleo-ers spread around the world ( think Athens, Quebec, Montreal, Cape Town, and keep thinking!). Do I hear you say VR/AR meetings? Why not?! Go crazy!! It's a generalist IT role so you'll look into company-wide software used, and will figure out how best to support fellow Pleo-ers with the IT help that they need.

All in all, you can expect to be dealing with a broad range of tasks. Some might require you to get your hands dirty while others could provide a chance of you to utilise your out-of-the-box thinking and come up with hack-y solutions. If one thing is for certain, is that no day in the office would be the same. You can also expect to meet with tons of new people from over forty nationalities. As our new IT-hero brace yourself for endless love and appreciation.  Finally, as we scale, learning opportunities would be ample and you'll have the flexibility to choose the areas you'd like to focus and develop. We'll do our best to support you and help you grow in the direction you wish to take.

If you dig all of the above, and also don’t think of PETA when you hear that the OWL in the meeting room seems dead, you may be the one that we are looking for -go ahead, hit the apply button, make our day  :)

The reason most of us work at Pleo is because we want to change the workplace of today. We are motivated by companies trusting with us and giving us autonomy to work in the best way for us - and for the company. Pleo solves today's company spending problem. We empower companies with an app that links up to pre-paid cards. Every person gets a card, and is trusted with spending company money. After all, if you're trusted enough to be hired, you should be trusted enough with spending money responsibly.

Being HQ'd out of Copenhagen means we're inspired by sensible things like a good work-life balance. If you don't work in one of our offices with us we'll help you get up the best remote set up possible, and will fly you in once a quarter for team camps.

Sometimes, we write about things we care about
