About the role:



The IT Service Desk is the central point of contact for all IT related incidents and service requests. The role of the IT Support Technician is to provide first line support for all staff within OLIVER. The IT Support Technician is responsible for resolving support requests as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. IT Support staff work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services over the phone, through e-mail, phone, and in person.

What you will be doing: 

  • Provide 1st line systems support of users, Desktop, Laptop and Printer infrastructure.
  • Support Mac OSX, Windows 10 operating systems
  • Escalate IT issues where necessary
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Manage and troubleshoot Office 365 and other cloud-based systems
  • Set up and configure new laptops and desktops (Mac and PC)
  • Install antivirus to all desktops and laptops (Mac and PC)
  • Report faults and maintain logs on servers, desktops and laptops (Mac and PC)
  • Complete internal user moves including phones
  • Ensure all logs for equipment and users are maintained
  • Create purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software
  • Ensure licensing for all software purchased is recorded and maintained
  • Set up new users and disable expired accounts in accordance with HR requirements
  • Utilize JAMF and Team Viewer remote management tools
  • Assist Senior Support Technician in solution analysis and design activities
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant developments in respect of ICT and strategy within your role
  • Manage Active Directory and One login
  • Ensure that routine maintenance and processes are reviewed, maintained and completed

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Experience in IT domain, and IT Systems Administration in mid-to-large enterprise preferred
  • Enthusiastic self-starter and must have fluent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Must be appropriately resourceful and a keen trouble-shooter
  • Must have a professional attitude, good work ethic and efficiently pursue attention to detail
  • The candidate should be familiar using typical office environment tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
  • The candidate should have an understanding of the advertising production environment applications like the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
