Proactive. Passionate. Proficient.
Working at Skyscanner just feels… different. It’s the way we love to collaborate, yet take personal ownership of our work. We’re passionate about improving the world of travel and working here isn’t quite like anywhere else.
Creating an IT environment with proven and modern technology, to support everyone in the business to do the best work of their lives.
System administration and application support. Problem solving and diagnosis. Automation and scripting. Excellent customer service: You’ll need to have done them all and be a domain expert in at least one to join us.
We need someone who can help create and maintain our digital workplace by drawing on your skills and experience while leading and mentoring other engineers. You should be capable of designing and operating systems and services, including open-source, internally built and commercial third-party solutions.
A passion for learning new technologies and helping others do the same will take you far in this role and great communication and customer service skills will be important.
We use Endpoint Manager (SCCM/Intune) and JAMF to handle our devices and we are working to develop these systems to improve how we function. We work in Azure, Group Policy and Active Directory. Cloud, automation and zero touch are goals we work towards to improve efficiency, effectiveness & resilience within the organisation.
As a Systems Engineer, you’ll help your colleagues to achieve their goals by enabling them with communication tools, applications and devices. You'll maintain systems and services that make up our hybrid digital workspace and be involved in driving initiatives for improvements.
You'll support all office staff directly or via technical escalation where required and look into the root causes. You’ll participate in various support rotas, whilst allowing you to work on your projects and goals outside of support as well. At all times you will ensure that jobs are logged correctly within the appropriate ticketing system.
Of course, you’ll also be looking for opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve our services. Though you’ll be accountable for the delivery of Squad projects and trusted to deliver, you’ll also form part of a broader team that takes collective responsibility for making success happen..
Already a global leader in travel, we want to elevate the way we work to a whole other level. In return, you’ll get meaningful things like medical insurance, health screenings, headspace subscriptions, a home office allowance and the option to buy more holiday. You’ll have the opportunity to work from any country for 4 weeks a year, and 30 days in our other global offices. Everything, in other words, to help you relax and give your best.
