At iwoca, our vision is that finance should be like electricity: simple, seamless and powerful. Over the next decade we aim to provide financing to 1 million small businesses that are underserved by the banks. Since our launch in 2012, we've already lent over £100m to many thousands of SMEs across Europe. Along the way we have built a high-tech platform, won numerous awards and grown a fun and vibrant team. However, in the grand scheme of things we are still at the beginning of our journey and are keen for you to join our adventure!
Our team has doubled to nearly 110 over the last 12 months, last year we closed a $20m Series B funding round – which means we will continue to grow at a rapid pace. This growth is very exciting, but brings new challenges with it: managing and professionalizing the recruitment process, streamlining internal admin processes, and most importantly making sure we manage the growth process in a way that strengthens our people and our culture.
We’re looking for an inspiring and visionary leader to develop, strengthen and implement an exciting People Strategy for the upcoming waves of growth (from 100 to 200, and beyond). You will develop programs that make iwoca an even more attractive, inspiring place to work, strengthen our brand so we become a de-facto choice for top talent, help train our leaders and teams, and generally ensure that we scale in a way that makes us more effective and happy.
This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the overall direction of a rapidly growing, superbly ambitious company. You will fundamentally be responsible for making iwoca an (even more) amazing place to work as we scale, and be awarded great latitude and responsibility to achieve this goal.
What you have done previously doesn’t matter so much to us - we’re looking for someone with passion, vision, imagination, gravitas and a proven ability to get things done, rather than someone who’s learned all the tricks of the HR world.
