Junior Account Manager- Publisher Development

Skimlinks is a global e-commerce monetization and analytics technology start-up with offices in London and NYC. We work with over 1.5 million publisher websites (Condé Nast, Hearst Magazines, Buzzfeed…) and 20,000 retailers around the world, helping content producers get paid commissions for the products and brands they write about. This gives us a direct view of the browsing and shopping behaviours of over 650 million users. Our technology understands the web pages users visit, the brands and products they look at, the links they click on and the purchases they make, across our entire network. We have raised $20 million in venture funding from investors such as Frog Capital, Greycroft Partners, and BDMI. Skimlinks is looking for Junior Account Managers to join our Publisher Development teams in London & New York.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Developing & growing existing publisher relationships; helping publishers realise more revenue through commerce-related content, or as we like to call it, comtent!

  • Using data analytics tools (Excel, Tableau) to review publisher performance data to identify, suggest and implement comtent optimisation strategies.

  • Evangelising how Publishers can incorporate comtent into a broader e-commerce revenue strategy.  

  • Communicating market trends and client feedback back to the Skimlinks product and development teams.

  • Maintaining accurate Salesforce reporting.

  • Setting up, monitoring & logging revenue growth via internal systems and via Excel

  • Attending conferences and industry events to represent Skimlinks to prospective clients

Required

  • Knowledge and awareness of the dynamics of the online publishing and advertising industries, including key players and trends.

  • Experience with and/or knowledge of a variety of online marketing channels including performance, display, PPC, SEO.

  • Data manipulation and presentation experience (strong working knowledge of Excel is a huge plus)

  • Comfortable with working with internet technologies (javascript, html etc) particularly as it pertains to the implementation and troubleshooting of technology solutions.

  • Excellent written communication skills and exemplary phone manner.

  • A willingness and enthusiasm for delivering presentations.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

    • The ideal candidate will have some early experience in a business development, account management or sales role, working with publishers on monetization or advertising partnerships.
