The Role 

BuzzFeed is looking for a mid-level super star designer with a sharp eye to help create memorable visual elements for our marketing & sales teams - someone with a great sensibility and who can turn around work on a tight schedule. The role is largely B2B and will include brand design, pitch design, brand hub management, sizzle creation and event support. 

This role reports into the Director, B2B Planning. 

This job is based in our LA or NYC offices, and we offer competitive compensation and a stock option program.

You Will 

  • Refresh and manage deck templates and styles for the business team (Google Slides) 
  • Brief and manage creation of video marketing materials to support our brands and products
  • Turn ideas into compelling visuals for pitches and presentations  
  • Create mocks and user flows to visualize BuzzFeed’s ad products  
  • Support larger event production including things like invites, custom swag, signage, interactive elements, etc. 
  • Collaborate with marketing, research, sales, business operations, and developers to create interactive case studies, program recaps, research pieces, and more 
  • Brainstorm and strategize new and disruptive formats for all sales & marketing materials
  • Concept and develop a consistent B2B brand identity for our portfolio of brands like Buzzfeed News, Tasty, HuffPost and more 
  • Manage a brand hub with the latest materials, logos, colors and templates 
  • Act as design consulting and support for the business team at large.

You Have

  • The ability to be a team player who is comfortable collaborating with many different teams at once
  • Conceptual and strategic approach to design (ability to think cric as a marketing design consultant rather than simply executing a project exactly as it’s outlined)
  • Extreme attention to detail with an eye for spacing, alignment, consistency, and cohesion
  • Adaptability to feedback, different design directions, and working within client guidelines
  • Willingness to learn new programs
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines / balance short and long term projects 
  • Passion for design, desire to learn new programs and grow as a designer
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for BuzzFeed
  • Google Slides experience necessary 
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop 
  • 1 - 2 years professional design experience
