As a Junior Technical Project Manager, you enable our R&D programs, for customers including DARPA and other government agencies, to achieve their greatest potential. Additionally, you will support relationships and collaboration with mission owners to facilitate the preparation, testing and deployment of R&D capabilities into operations. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of experts in cybersecurity, data science, software development, security, and computational social science. You thrive in a dynamic, flexible, and adaptable organization. Your responsibilities may include:
- Managing, revising, and balancing requirements across a technical project team
- Supporting internal processes for our R&D and innovation pipeline for rapid transition capabilities from research teams to deployment and operations teams
- Government customer interface and coordination
- Preparation/submission/management of contract deliverables
- Schedule and budget management
- Process and risk management
- Proposal support
- Logistics coordination across multiple locations and teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably in government R&D programs
- Experience with distributed teams that span geographic locations, functional teams, and organizations
- Mastery of these or similar technologies: Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with the multiple aspects of the research lifecycle (proposal to publication/transition) or the software development lifecycle (from concept to prototype and production)
- Active TS Clearance
Nice to Haves:
- Government contracts management experience
- Proposal writing experience, to include technical and cost volumes
- Project Management formal training or certifications (PMP, etc)
- Educational background in computer science, math/stats, engineering, or related field
- SCI Clearance
