Qualis has an immediate opening for a mid-level support position to serve as the Space Development Agency (SDA) Launch Program Execution/Payload Processing Lead. The candidate will provide program management and execution of launch vendor and satellite vendor integration in support of the Support Cell Launch Program Manager. SDA seeks a perceptive, creative leader with the ability to successfully solve challenging problems. The applicant must be confident and have a knack to digest complex ideas to determine the feasibility of success. Position will support SDA launch operations on-site at Vandenberg SFB this is not a remote position and must be at VSFB.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Support the SDA Launch Program Manager
- Retrieve and consolidate vendor-provided integrated master schedules (IMS)
- Coordinate inputs, develop and maintain launch integration schedules
- Identify scheduling conflicts, critical paths, schedule risks and divergences
- Develop internal briefing material as directed by the government team
- Develop external facing products (briefings, emails, etc) with high standard and attention to detail
- Be cognizant of internal developments to inform programmatic and scheduling updates
- Provide general support to the SDA as tasked (coordinate meetings, briefings, etc)
- Support application product managers and coordinate cross-functional teams (i.e. Government, Military, SETA, FFRDC, UARC, & Industry)
- Develop, activate, and maintain hardware processing facilities for optimized hardware processing including the capability of processing parallel campaigns across different bays and locations
- Manage and track multiple priorities while maintaining a focus towards common project goals
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience
- 3+ years developing integrated master schedules with Microsoft Project, Knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
- 3+ years Project Management experience
- Hands on proficiency using presentation development tools, principally PowerPoint
- Excellent written and visual communication skills
- Organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize in an environment with limited resources and competing needs
- Experience with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
- Creative thinking skills
- Ability to be diplomatic with a variety of individuals across the organizational infrastructure
- Ability to manage integration and testing of complex, multidisciplinary assemblies, and systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline
- Prior experience supporting space system development or the Department of Defense
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg
- Work schedule may vary depending on site operational needs, and flexibility is required
- Ability to support and supervise operations outside of normal business hours, when required
- Flight hardware typically is built in tight quarters and physical dexterity is required
- Perform work in an environment with exposure to fumes, odors, and noise using appropriate personal protective equipment
- Physical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying moderately heavy materials or equipment (up to 35 pounds)
