Lead BI Analyst

High Wycombe, United Kingdom

Lead BI Analyst
Based: High Wycombe, London or Remote (UK only)
Term: Full time, Permanent
Salary Scale: £40-50k

Focusrite are looking for an experienced BI Analyst to lead high quality analysis and reporting across our group.

About us

We make extensive use of Power BI, built on data warehoused in Snowflake, to deliver sales reporting, forecasting, customer insight and operational dashboards. We have a hybrid model, with analysts embedded within individual business units, a network of trained power users, and a core Business Intelligence team to support them.

We’re a distributed team, with the option to work fully remotely or to attend our offices in High Wycombe or London.

The role

As a part of the core BI team, you’ll support embedded analysts and power users with training, standards, peer review and tooling to help them deliver useful insight. You’ll help us ensure report access is governed properly, and reports are standardised to ensure clarity.

You’ll also be an expert reviewer and developer, and an advocate for statistical literacy and careful data use. You will offer technical leadership to other analysts and stakeholders. Should we present some kinds of insight using different platforms? How can we make better use of tools like R to delve deeper? You’ll help us to answer these questions and more.

Over time it is likely that this role will grow to include direct line management of new analysts within the core team.

You’ll need:

  • Deep & varied experience of business intelligence software, ideally Power BI, in an SME or enterprise environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to explain and teach complex topics clearly
  • An eye for detail and precision
  • A firm grasp of statistical concepts and a knack for sharing them
  • An understanding of consumer technology business

If you have designed, built and maintained lucid, reliable reporting (and helped others to do the same) we’d love to hear from you!
