Our goal is to build the next generation online learning and content publishing platform for Grovo. We are responsible for all customer-facing UI across the company. We are autonomous and self-managed in technology decisions, timelines, open-source investments, workflow/process, and best of all we are free to reach for the stars when it comes to the “what,” “when,” and “how.” We partner with Marketing, Product/UX, Backend Engineering, and Infrastructure to understand and provide value for our customers.

 

Required Skills

  • You must be able to contribute technically to all areas of our stack with a focus on modern presentation layer technologies, e.g. React, Redux, CSS3, HTML5, Node, etc.
  • Lead front end technical decision making, while driving product development process in partnership with product and UX
  • Your visual and aural spaces are huge, you can see and understand possibilities and outcomes quickly and articulate them clearly in a fun and constructive manner
  • You are a team player, cultural leader and coach -- people around you get better because you trust them, care for them, and invest in them
  • 6+ years of experience as a software developer with 1+ years as a technical team leader

 

Required Experience

  • You have started products from scratch and finished strong -- delivering high quality products to production
  • You have a track record of teaming up with Product/UX, clarifying requirements and dissecting specs into their architectural components, all the while prioritizing the customer and the product
  • You have experience build winning mobile product (Mobile Web or Native App)
  • You have demonstrated time management skills, planning work into measurable achievable chunks, performance management, and holding yourself and others accountable for delivering on promise
