About the team

We have an exciting opportunity at our state-of-the-art distribution centre, Skygate, located in the East Midlands. We are seeking a Lead Planning Analyst to join our Planning team and provide critical analytical and system-driven insights across our operations.

About the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as Finance, HR, and Operations, to align reporting goals and strategies with the overall objectives of the organization.
  • Stakeholder communication ensuring any changes to the workforce system is clearly communicated in a timely manner.
  • Involved in establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard employee data and ensure the accuracy of financial information. They may also coordinate with internal or external auditors during the audit process.
  • Implementing systems to track and monitor employee workforce access levels to ensure the appropriate access in given and a sign off process is in place.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of workforce reports. This includes verifying the data, performing reconciliations, and conducting quality checks to minimize errors and discrepancies.
  • Ensures workforce reports are properly formatted and presented in a clear and understandable manner. This may involve using charts, graphs, and tables to visualize the financial information and highlight key insights.
  • Provide support for testing requirements for workforce system changes or updates.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement, implementing best practices, and staying updated with industry trends and regulations related to the workforce system.

About you

  • A strong understanding of workforce systems including knowledge of functionalities, features, and capabilities.
  • The ability to analyse data. This includes skills in data manipulation, data visualization, and data interpretation to derive meaningful insights from the workforce data.
  • Proficiency in generating reports and conducting analytics using the workforce system is important. This includes the ability to create customized reports, analyse trends, and present data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Understanding of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit processes to ensure compliance with regulations and accurate financial reporting.
  • Ability to identify reporting challenges, analyse options, and make informed decisions to support strategic goals.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure alignment with the workforce system.
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to identify issues or challenges related to the workforce system and develop effective solutions.

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where you can expect both competency and technical questions. This will be held onsite.
