As the Learning & Development Manager on the Wealth Planning Solutions team, you’ll play a pivotal role working very closely with the sales, service and operations management teams, and cross-functionally with key leaders, to create and deliver high-quality and relevant learning experiences that directly support the business objectives.
 
In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents: For this Learning & Development Manager role, we need someone to support our growth, we are seeking a training leader to help us create and deliver the next generation training platform. Responsibilities:
  • Design, deliver, and lead the full suite of performance support platforms and tools needed to enable the high-level performance of sales, service, and operations teams. Also includes a diverse range of learning experiences via traditional instructor- based classroom learning, e-learning courses, and other learning aids, tools, and resources, that support the evolving talent development framework.
  • Be responsible for 3rd party vendor identification and management of consultant resources to design and/or deliver training curriculum.
  • Implement training curricula that aligns with stated business objectives and applies adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
  • Maintain accurate training records and statistics and track Learner progress!
  • Measures the effectiveness of training, coaching and performance support platform effectiveness by reviewing learner feedback, testing data, and addressing gaps.
  • Proactively identifying solutions to improve client satisfaction and leading the learning team and cross-functional partners to implement solutions.
  • Develop knowledge management taxonomies, and establish and spread best practices, as well as connect, train and support those who create and/or are responsible for key knowledge content.
 
Requirements: 
  • 5+ years progressive experience in learning and development within Financial Services organizations.
  • Experience using synchronous and asynchronous learning modalities with a combination of instructional design and knowledge management, as well as facilitation experience.
  • Proven track record to build and maintain collaborative, cross-functional relationships at multiple levels.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Prior management experience required.
 
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $99,900-$133,200. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
