Title:               Logistics Business / Operations Analyst

Shifts:            Mon - Fri however we are a 24/7 operation so some flexibility may be required


Are you an Excel and Google fanatic? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Ocado on a permanent basis at our Hatfield Distribution Centre (AL10 9BD). But if you’d prefer a Fixed Term Contract, we’ll consider that too.

What you’ll do:

You’ll get to work in a warehouse which is based on a complex conveyor system that uses artificial intelligence to plan and optimise picking sequences, product locations and tote routings.

Provide information on the current operating position, variances to plan and procedural anomalies; presenting highlights, risks and opportunities to focus on in the pursuit of continuous improvement

Undertake scheduled and ad-hoc statistical/trend analysis of processes and procedures to understand prevalent issues, develop business cases for solutions and see agreed projects through to implementation

Develop, maintain and distribute weekly operating reports for Key Customers and other supporting departments

You’ll also develop, maintain and support management information systems and use various data sources and work closely with other departments such as Supply Chain, Planning and Finance. 


What you'll need:

Strong statistical analysis and data management skills 

SQL experience would be advantage

Commercially savvy eye for detail

Ability to collaborate with other departments in operationally critical activities 

Experience of working with Oracle, administering databases, of coding using PHP general - purpose scripting language

Passion about continuous improvement

Confidence in analysing large amounts of transaction data 

Experience of coding using HTM, previous experience in a 24/7 productivity - conscious warehouse environment and previous experience in a continuous improvement environment (desirable)
